Meet CCSLI's Training and Mentoring Team!

Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Gail has attended classes at Sheridan College in Brampton, Ontario, as well as the Canadian Hearing Society. Upon relocating to California, she worked several years as an interpreter for the State of California's Dept of Rehabilitation. She has also done freelance work for numerous agencies, colleges and universities including (but not limited to) work as an educational and VRS interpreter. She holds RID's National Interpreter Certification (NIC) as well as the EIPA. She is an active member of AVLIC and is currently pursuing her COI in Canada, as well as being a member of the Conference of Interpreter Trainers (CIT). In 2008, she founded Central Coast Sign Language Interpreters LLC, in a continued effort to support the Deaf in Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, and Santa Clara counties. Recently, CCSLI has expanded to provide both interpreting and interpreter training services throughout all of California. Additionally, Gail serves as a Rater for the national EIPA exam.
INSTRUCTOR: Jennifer Mott, MA
Born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA, Jennifer has been involved in the Deaf Community for over 20 years and is currently teaching American Sign Language at the High School level. She has over 10 years experience working with students of all ages, from pre-school to college and in the private sector. As the lead advisor of the San Benito ASL Club, Jennifer connects her students with the Deaf Community through Deaf Awareness Events. Jennifer holds a Masterís degree in Education from the University of California Santa Cruz.
INSTRUCTOR: Sabine Grinstein Wecker, MA CI CT
Born and raised in Carmel, CA, Sabine has worked in the field of interpreting for over 15 years. She holds a Master's degree in Linguistics with an emphasis on Signed Languages from Gallaudet University, and a Bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies from California State University, Northridge. Her experience includes teaching at the high school and community college level, as well as 4-year universities such as Fresno State. Sabine has presented numerous workshops on interpreting and working with Deaf colleagues, including a presentation at the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) National Conference.
INSTRUCTOR: Andrew Taylor
A highly respected member of the Deaf community, Andrew Taylor has attended programs for the Deaf in Salinas, Watsonville and New Mexico. A graduate of California School for the Deaf in Fremont, California, Andrew has continued his studies at Hartnell College in Salinas. Andrew has worked in a number of important roles, providing support for local Deaf programs and families with Deaf children. Additionally, he has served on the Advisory Council for Salinasí Deaf and Hard of Hearing Service Center (DHHSC).
Born and raised in Madera, CA, Dina began signing in high school when her mother became Hard of Hearing, and eventually, Deaf. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders, with an emphasis on American Sign Language Interpreting, from Fresno State University in 2003. She previously worked for DHHSC in Fresno, CA as an Interpreter Coordinator. In 2007, she returned to school to pursue her Special Education Credential at CSU Monterey Bay. Presently, Dina is in the process of clearing her credential through National University, while working as the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Itinerant Specialist for all of the middle and high schools in the Pajaro Valley Unified School District.
